Cefalù is a town located in Sicily, Italy. Edward Alexander «Aleister» Crowley, who said many beautiful things, who was courageous in ways few others were, but who also said and did things I cannot defend, spent some time there with his spiritual circle, in his day. I did not know that when I stayed in the town for a week toward the end of the 2000s. At the time, I was lying on a beach drafting a post for the website of the political society I had recently founded – a precursor to Maksima. I wrote about logos. About how I looked forward to hearing about vibrant men and women meeting each other randomly in city streets, all wearing the same logo. We made a very beautiful pin back then.
